Swift question about typical similarities between general rogues & warrior classes?

Would hackers and trappers count as rogue subclasses if we were to expand beyond fantasy genre?

What other non-hybrid rogues are not physically proficient?

Is physical adeptness singular to rogues & warriors? If we're talking concerning the four base classes clerics, mages, rogues, warriors.

If not, is there anything that is singular to rogues & warriors and widely accepted to each?

Leopluradon's develop into super magical when eating mushrooms & can out smoke the dragon Puff. Now a cross breed leopluff turns out is not that magical at all till you get it drunk. Once you get a leopluff drunk you need to have the ability to cook it, just do not forget to sear each sides to keep the magic in. Once baked you are in a position to outfly those who's consumed the lesser version redbull. I hope this answers your question on who flys the highest of them all.

I stayed up 2 nights ago raging trying to get perfects lol....To me the rewards might be a tiny better though most certainly does not suck. The dungeon however repetitive even on the last day makes me laugh. For the reason that I love stomping and crushing all those buildings. So yay or nay did wintersday make you glad or sad?

Guild Wars 2: Class Balance Philosophies

Recently, Jonathan Sharp commented on class roles and balance philosophies. Here's what he had to say:

Jonathan Sharp, Game Designer said:

Class balance philosophies

We normally try to employ metered and controlled balance changes with each pass, rather than huge reductions or improvements to classes. We want to get all classes on the same playing field, and we want to avoid “whack-a-mole” style balance. HUGH increases and HUGE decreases lead to meta instability, and thusly, we try to make multiple small tweaks rather than putting in massive changes that we have to later correct.

When designing and balancing the classes, we try to make sure that class roles and identities stay intact. So, in doing so, we make sure that there are rules and boundaries outlining the capabilities and weaknesses of each class.

Warrior
We want the Warrior to be capable of good melee damage in a sturdy body. They can still do some decent damage at range, but they aren’t as good at it as the Ranger (with their pet). They have a hard time taking enemy boons down, and instead, have to just go through them with raw force. They may have a hard time with enemy conditions, and may need to ask for ally help in order to keep themselves free of hampering conditions.

Guardian
The Guardian is a heavy armor class who relies on boons to make up for their low levels of innate health. They focus on area control and punishing enemies for the position on the battlefield. We want them to feel very powerful when their boons are active, but if those boons are removed, they will start to feel pressure. They can remove conditions more easily than the Warrior, but share the Warrior’s need to be in melee range to dole out maximum damage.

Ranger
The ranger class combines its own innate abilities with the skills of their pets. We’ve balanced the class around the idea that you always have a pet with you to aid in any fight. The fact that the ranger can have multiple pets allows them to combine their pets in ways that most impact the current fight. We want the Ranger to have some of the evasion enjoyed by the Thief, as well as the mobility other classes employ. The class is able to deal physical or condition damage, and it can do this in melee or at range.

Engineer
The Engineer is a highly versatile class. While it doesn’t have the long range capabilities of the Ranger, or the melee capabilities of the Warrior or Guardian, they are comfortable at medium ranges in most fights. They have a lot of control, and use their boons to keep themselves (and allies) alive in a fight. They can use different kits based on the situation, but this extreme versatility comes at a cost in damage on their main hand weapons.

Thief
Thieves are the masters of mobility, stealth and high single target damage. They can be very fragile if you counter their stealth with area of effects or large stacks of conditions, but they trade this fragility in order to have some of the highest burst damage in the Guild Wars 2 gold game. They are able to help allies through traps, venoms and the mobility to flank most encounters.

Mesmer
Mesmers rely on illusions in order to accomplish their goals. They need illusions to accomplish some of their highest damage and control, and without the illusions, they become fairly fragile. They can deal with enemy boons better than most classes, but enemy conditions can often be a problem. They share some of the stealth and mobility that the Thief enjoys, but suffer from a low health pool if you get past all their tricks.

Ele
We see the elementalist as the king of versatility. The skill ceiling for the Ele is exceptional, as the ability to leverage all four attunements at the right time is crucial for understanding the elementalist. The Ele boasts some of the best team support and control abilities in the game, as well as some great area of effect damage.

Necro
The necro boasts the highest natural health of all the caster classes, and also has death shroud to extend that life total even higher. While they don’t have some of the escape or damage reduction capabilities that other classes boast, they do have a lot of ways to win attrition fights. They have access to poison on multiple weapons, they are able to combine condition damage with raw damage, and they have multiple disables to interrupt enemy skills. Necomancers also have multiple movement disabling abilities, while allows them to chase down enemies who are low on health.

Going forward
Tank vs spike vs physical DPS vs condie DPS. We want to keep making balance changes that allow all classes to have various builds they can use. We don’t want tanks dominating the gw2 gold game, and we don’t want spike builds dominating. It’s healthy to have multiple types of builds in the meta, so we’ll be improving the balance to facilitate a healthy meta.

AOE balance. We feel that in PvP some AOE builds are too strong for the opportunity cost, and we’ll be bringing those in line in the next few patches.

Names in the games: Coaches up for approval

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The vacant football coaching positions at Riverside & South Charleston could be filled tonight during a meeting of the Kanawha County College board.

Up for approval are Steven Freeman (Riverside) & Donnie Mays (SC), who were advised for the posts following interviews by their respective college administrators.

Those positions became open last month when coaches Ralph Hensley & John Messinger stepped down, respectively, for the Warriors and Black Eagles.

Richardson: Saban will remain at Alabama

Trent Richardson doesn't think Nick Saban will follow him from Alabama to the Cleveland Browns.

Saban, who will lead the Crimson Tide against Notre Dame in the BCS national championship gw2 gold game in Miami on Jan. 7, has been mentioned as a feasible replacement in Cleveland if the Browns fire second-year coach Pat Shurmur at season's end.

Richardson, a running back who ran for 1,679 yards with Alabama last season, dismissed the speak as mere rumors and stated after practice Wednesday that from what he knows of Saban, he would be "shocked'' if he went to any NFL team.

NCAA almost suspended Sooners football assistant

Twitter messages sent to high college players in February violated NCAA rules and nearly resulted in a 1-game suspension for Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell, in accordance with documents obtained by The Associated Press.

Amongst the documents released to the AP this week below Oklahoma's Open Records Act were letters between college compliance staff & members of the NCAA's rules enforcement staff relating to the fallout from Norvell's use of Twitter.

The NCAA at first wanted to suspend Norvell for one game though the school successfully appealed. Oklahoma learned of the NCAA's choice not to suspend Norvell on Dec. 4.

Snowball Mayhem Guide

Overview
The key objective of Snowball Mayhem is for each team to return "Gifts" back to their home point well to score points, with the 1st team to 500 determined the winner. When players collects a gift their skill bar is removed until the bundle is dropped. It need to be noted that the gift spawns aren't frequently in the same location and a lot of will show up closer to a team point than others, meaning teams will need to spread their players if they are to be as productive as attainable.

After speaking to the Asura in Lions Arch (he's sat on a barrel) you'll be transported inside the snow globe & allocated to either the Red or Blue team. Once inside you'll be presented with a choice of three 'professions' (Scout, Heavy Gunner & Assistance) with each playing a key role in the gw2 gold game mode. Players are gratis to alter profession at any point during the match-up but must return to the home point to do so. Each profession also has a sixth in replace of the heal which tends to be offensive.

Scout
The scout, as you would expect, is the quickest of all the 'professions'. It plays similarly to the thief in the sense its attacks are fast & provide evasive and swiftness inducing effects. The scout also has the ability to disappear in stealth via the use of Snowblind and can deal a substantial chunk of damage to enemies with Sniper Shot should you can stay still lengthy enough to make use of it.

Abilities

Quick Shot: A normal auto attack accessible for all professions which has a range of 900.

Evasive Shot: Akin to the thief, making use of Evasive Shot will see you jump backwards after your attack.

Rapid Fire: Your profession will unleash a volley of snowballs in rapid succession. It must be noted that the accuracy of Rapid Fire is poor, so it is greatest to use it at close range for maximum impact.

Sniper Shot: A lengthy ranged channeled skill, Sniper Shot deals a substantial level of harm yet you are unable to move while charging it. The skill will deal more harm the longer you charge it so if possible attempt to maximize the duration.

Snowblind: Using this skill will stealth your character but also blind those around you, allowing you to flank or escape with relative ease. You will need to be sensible when you use it having said that as it has a long cooldown.

Ice Elemental: The sixth skill shared between all professions & will summon an Ice Elemental to defend you. It's fairly slow moving although does hurt if you're caught by its snowballs.

Heavy Gunner
The Heavy Gunner is the equivalent of Team Fortress 2's and is capable of soaking up a big degree of damage although similarly to TF2's counterpart, is astonishingly slow to move when its weapon is drawn. While you have your weapon drawn, your character will move at walking pace which makes combat feel impressively sluggish. Luckily you can stow your weapon away while moving from point-to-point removing some of the burden. As opposed to the other professions the Heavy Gunner will heal himself when his weapon is drawn.

Skills

Fire Snowball: A normal auto attack available for all professions which has a range of 1000.

Powder Spray: A short range conal attack that hits all enemies in front of the Heavy for moderate damage.

Jump Shot: Identical to the Engineers rifle skill, this ground targeted attack makes it possible for you to leap a awesome distance & plummet down on your foes below. It hits hard and is capable of dealing AoE harm to those around you.

Overcharged Shot: Providing a ground targeted knockback, Overcharged Shot sends a vast ice boulder towards the enemy and will impact any individual it hits.

Defensive Bubble: Similar to a guardians, the Defensive Bubble does just what it says on the tin: it stops projectiles for you & your team mates. Be conscientious when you choose to use it in spite of this as it has a lengthy cooldown.

Ice Elemental: The sixth skill shared between all professions & will summon an Ice Elemental to defend you. It is comparatively slow moving but does hurt if you are caught by its snowballs.

Support
I would have a look at the Assistance profession similar to a staff elementalist (type of) with its use of ground targeted spells and lengthy range attacks. As the profession name suggests, it has an array of capabilities created to aid your team mates and slow the progress of the opposing team. It is without doubt my preferred of all of the three.

Abilities

Quick Shot: A standard auto attack accessible for all professions which has a range of 1200.

Healing Breeze: A further conal attack nonetheless in contrast to the Heavy's, this heals all allies within its range (which includes yourself) & gives five seconds of regeneration.

Icy Ground: One of the most annoying capabilities to be hit with, Icy Ground will knock contenders to the ground the moment they touch it. As it's ground targeted and has a lengthy range, it genuinely is formidable in the right hands, particularly to stop present carriers escaping or to safeguard your own.

Ice Wall: The capacity to block a players movements should never be underestimated which is why Ice Wall is so useful. With a range of 900 the skill will summon quite a brief wall that players will must navigate around. Having numerous support professions use this skill at the same time enables you to chain block gw2 gold player progress to astounding impact.

Snowroll: Last nevertheless certainly not least is Snowroll that has to be the greatest "troll" skill in the entire game. Turning the assistance profession into a giant snowball, you could freely control its movement and will knock back players you touch. There is no limit on the level of knockbacks a player can suffer, so for its complete duration you could continue to pummel an individual repeatedly. Particularly annoying but ever so brilliant.

Ice Elemental: The sixth skill shared between all professions & will summon an Ice Elemental to defend you. It's comparatively slow moving yet does hurt if you're caught by its snowballs.

Guild Wars 2: WvW Adjustments Coming Soon

The Guild Wars 2 blog has been updated with a lengthy post that lays out particulars about changes coming to the world versus world strategy. Players who delight in WvW will be intrigued by the list of adjustments incorporating advanced notifications of new builds, the Alt+F4 escape will be stripped and more.

Break Out Events are distinctive WvW events that will take place when a team has lost control of all defensive structures, not counting provide camps. Once enough players are in the commander's presence he will summon his trusty dolyak to give all allies in the area full supply. He will then lead the charge to the nearby objective and give players protection and help with building siege to assault the objective with. Guild Wars 2: WvW Rankings for December 7th & New Culling Trial Introduced

Not only do we have the latest WvW world rankings for you today, but we also have some news about a culling trial that ArenaNet is introducing to WvW. Basically, what this means is that the system will now put your allies and enemies into two separate groups when determining what players you can and cannot see. This should reduce the amount of invisible enemies on your screen because they are lowering the maximum amount of allies you can see at one time.

Quote

For the matchup starting on December 7th we’ll be testing out a new culling methodology. This is an interim change to the system which is intended improve player experience while we work on a more comprehensive solution. Under this new, interim system we handle culling of allies and enemies separately which should cut down on the instances of running into a group of completely invisible enemies. This is accomplished at the cost of having a lower maximum on the number of allies that players can see.

Again, this is an interim solution while we work on a longer term change. We’ll be trying out the new system for the duration of the matchup starting on December 7th and then evaluating whether we want to keep it in place until our more comprehensive solution is in place or roll back to the existing behavior. Toward that end we’re very interested in your feedback about the experience of playing with the interim system.

Quote

All gw2 gold players are eligible for boons, etc. because those are calculated on the server. You’re correct that allies who are culled will remain culled until a “slot” opens up for them. That happens when the culled ally is closer to you than the currently shown ally for some small period of time.

The main difference between this and the current system is that the current system treats all characters the same while the new system has one limit for allies and another for enemies. In the new system enemies cannot impact which allies are shown and allies cannot impact which enemies are shown.

Quote

Players in your party are always reported to you and are never culled. Guilds are not favored in the current system.

ArenaNet responds to Guild Wars 2 Ascended gear gripes

The Guild Wars 2 natives are restless with respect to Ascended gear plus the perception of grind. On the heels of a huge forum thread that's generated almost 140 pages & 7,000 replies, ArenaNet Studio Design Director Chris Whiteside attempted to speak some fans off the ledge.

"Our objective isn't to deliver a gear treadmill," White wrote. "Our goal is to make sure we have a appropriate progression for gw2 gold players from exotic up to legendary without a massive jump in reward between the 2." He went on to express that PvP will be unaffected, and that the new stuff will be "accessible in each PvE & WvW over time, and be made accessible via all types of content around the world incorporating existing content."

The full statement is available via the GW2 forums.

WRUP: Valor edition

Some fights cannot be won. Some battles are doomed to failure from the first salvo. But even when no hope for victory remains, you must stand fast. You must raise your head and refuse to bow. You must be a testament to the meaning and the values that you embody, no matter how desperately you wish to give in. If you fail, you fail with your head held high, with dignity and your ideals in place.

This is valor. Don't let anyone tell you differently.

On a happier note, it's the weekend, and that means it's time for another installment of WRUP. That means a full rundown of our staff plans over the weekend, what games we'll be playing along with our usual meandering about the rationale behind those games. You know, as we do. Check out our plans past the break, and let us know what you're going to be up to down in the comments.

@Beau_Hindman: I'm gathering a new group of browser-based titles for coverage over the next few months. Every time I think the well has run dry, I find some wonderful new game that reminds me just why I love MMO gaming. It's also giving me more motivation to pursue my goal of living, working, and playing all through one portable device. One day I hope the knowledge translates to helping those who can't afford anywhere access. After all, access to the internet is access to a lot more than just gw2 gold games.

@nbrianna: I hope to play some Guild Wars 2; my Warrior's closing in on 80 finally, and I've fallen in love with the most unlikely of alt characters (for me): a female Charr Guardian. I also just got sucked back into Skyrim modding (darn you, Steam DLC sales!).

@PsykopigAU: I am trying to finish off Assassin's Creed III this weekend. I am having a bit of a Torchlight II LAN with some friends at some point as well! This is all, of course, sprinkled between my shows!

@Eliot_Lefebvre: Aside from a bit more Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, I'll be focusing on Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've lost a dear friend this week with the closure of City of Heroes, so I'm still sort of in mourning.

@elixabethclaire: I'm not sure I'll be playing a lot, but I'll be trying to get some time on my Necromancer (in an effort to get her above 50 so that I can stream the Claw Island personal story instance this coming week) in Guild Wars 2. I'll for sure be sneaking in some time on Torchlight II, which has recently (re-)grabbed my attention in a very delightful way. I've got Aion installed again, but I don't imagine I'll find time for it quite yet.

@jefreahard: I'm working on my first endgame armor set in DC Universe Online and playing a lot of PlanetSide 2. I'll probably also dabble in EverQuest II and a gaggle of single-player titles if time permits.

@Sypster: Jef's convinced me to give DCUO a try, so that's my Boy Scout merit badge project for the weekend. I'm not sure that it's for me, but I promise to at least log in three times. I'm also checking out Arcane Legends on my iPhone -- so far I'm liking it a lot more than Spacetime's previous titles. Otherwise, I'll be knocking out some expansion content in RIFT and Lord of the Rings Online, and continuing my march toward 100% world completion in Guild Wars 2 (currently at 61%). I've uninstalled Star Wars: The Old Republic -- just too many other good games right now, and I'm not having any of that free-to-play nonsense the studio's peddling.

@MikedotFoster: I'm obsessed with Super Hexagon, so I'll probably spend way too much time on that. Also on deck: EVE Online, Borderlands 2, World of Tanks and probably a heck of a lot of Letterpress. I may take a run at some World of Warcraft, assuming my sister is looking for a little dungeon help, but that's still in the air.

@MJ_Guthrie: I will spend the lion's share of my free time (I think I still know what that is!) meandering my way through Egypt in The Secret World. I also plan to motivate myself to level in Aion, perhaps by bribing myself with a nice cookie each 25%? Then I might actually slip into PlanetSide 2 and rez a few folks. Wait, there's that new house boat in EverQuest II as well... ahhh! Can I has more weekend please?

@mackeypb: I'm going to be playing more League of Legends. I'm sorrowful, since the Age of Wushu beta is over and I can't do any high-flying kung fu. Still, LoL is a game that requires a ton of practice, so any time I can fit in is worth it. I'm practicing Diana mostly (still), though I generally pick for team composition rather than playing a specific character.

@RichieProcopio: I'm trying to settle on a build for my warrior in Guild Wars 2. I think I prefer a more defensive and support oriented specialization in order to limit my time spent taking dirt naps. I've been doing a bunch of dungeon runs (including the new Fractal dungeon) and I'll likely be tackling a few this weekend.

@Epykbeard: I'll be giving my Mesmer main a break in Guild Wars 2 to focus on my new Ranger alt. Or maybe my Engineer alt. I really like my Thief, Warrior, and Ele alts, too. Darnit! I'll also be playing some PlanetSide 2 as it has grabbed me in ways I can't really describe on a public post. It's the perfect game for someone like me who loves FPS games but really sucks at getting that headshot every time. I love that there's so much more to do in that buy guild wars 2 gold game.

At the start of every weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game -- and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

Guild Wars 2 Post-mortem?

Brian Green gives his first impressions of ArenaNet's title as a game developer

There's been no shortage of commentary on Guild Wars 2. Since its release in Augest, the good, bad and ugly have come from all angles. As a matter of fact, our very own Gazimoff recently posted his impressions of The Lost Shores event weekend. But rarely if ever has a professional gw2 gold game developer chimed in with his thoughts - until today.

Brian Green, more affectionately known as Psycholchild, is a long-time game developer, author and speaker, perhaps most notable for working on one of the earliest MMORPGs, Meridian 59. Green took to his blog today to render some of his first impressions after receiving Guild Wars 2 as a gift.

For the most part, Green states that he is having fun, and breaks down his commentary into two general categories; the good and the bad.

The Good

Art Style & World Design
Jumping Puzzles
Non-combat Elements
Social Elements
Jumping puzzles rated high on Green's list, even with acknowledging the awkward and unfogivig platforming mechanics as presented in an MMO engine:

"Of course, there are a few frustrations, even though I enjoy these puzzles. Combat slows you down, making it harder to make the jumps; therefore, it's extra infuriating if you get stuck in combat for some reason as some monster is still trying to track you from half the area away. Also, invisible walls and deceptive jumps feel more like "gotchas" than legitimate puzzles sometimes. It really sucks to line up a jump only to run into a wall, or to break down and look up a walkthrough only to find out that the jump you could have taken was right in front of you."

Of course, Green also had to present the other side of the coin.

The Bad

Achiever Over-Focus
Story
Character Abilities
Servers
Green is a big proponent of story in MMOs, and in fact is one of the developers behind Storybricks. He's not a fan of stories that are spoon-fed, and that don't really belong to the player. He felt this was one of the major flaws of Guild Wars 2 as well, feeling no connection to his characters:

"Ultimately, these aren't my stories. This is the story that unfolds while I'm around. The words coming out of my character's mouth aren't mine, but what has been pre-scripted and pre-recorded. I want my own stories. I've had my own stories in other buy guild wars 2 gold games, but having a cutscene-based story diminishes the importance of the stories I want to experience."

For the most part, Green's lists match my own. I am in love with the world that ArenaNet has created, and wish there was a way to spend more time there without the constant go-go combat. I also tend to agree with the negatives, finding the character classes and abilities very mundane and limited, especially when combined with the condition system and its random elements. There really doesn't seem to be any depth to character progression, which is one of the gaps ArenaNet stated they wish to fill with the recently introduced Ascended tier of gear.

There is much more that Green has to say on the topic over on his blog. Well worth a read if you're a Guild Wars 2 fan and just enjoy a good sparring match once in a while!

Guild Wars 2 Character Creation

One of the new features of Guild Wars 2 is the choice-based questing system, in which many of the beginning quests are determined by choices that you make during character creation. There are five races to choose from:

The diminuative and headstrong Asuran arcane scientists
The noble Sylvari, who awaken to life already knowledgeable from their dreams
The resilient Humans, staunch defenders of Kryta
The pragmatic and tough Norn, who hail from the frozen wastes of the north
The conquering Charr, fierce and unwavering

Guild Wars 2 launched with eight primary professions (think classes, if you play other MMOs). In the current version of the game, there is no method available to change your primary profession as you could in Guild Wars 1, but this may change in the future. The currently available professions are:

Elementalists command the elements to bring down destruction upon their foes. This role is nearly that of a "glass cannon" - think extremely high DPS with minimal defensibility.

Engineers tinker with explosives, mechanical goodies and elixirs, using these and other tools to bring their enemies to their knees. Engineers cover many roles, including DPS, buffs and debuffs.

Guardians are the protectors of Guild Wars 2. They are specialized fighters that use their abilities to shield others from harm, while drawing upon the powers of their chosen deities. This is considered to be mostly a tank role.

Mesmers are reintroduced in Guild Wars 2 in much the same role as they had in the previous installment. They are considered to be the masters of illusion, using their magic to blind and confuse their enemies. The role that they play is greatly that of debuffing, with moderate DPS.

Necromancers are adepts of the black arts, raising the dead and stealing the very lifeforce of those that choose to stand against them. They command the powers of life and death, even being able to revive those that have died around them, pressing them into service. This profession is much like that of a summoner, with moderate DPS and debuffing abilities.

Rangers are the masters of ranged damage within buy Guild Wars 2 gold. Unmatched in archery, they have the ability to fell enemies from a distance, frequently preventing them from ever reaching the ranger. This is a classic ranged DPS role with moderate survivability.

Thieves in Guild Wars 2 are the classic embodiment of the assassin. Clinging to the shadows, they're typically undetected until they've delivered their deadly strikes. Owing to incredibly agile moves, they're nearly impossible to hit. This is the perfect role for those stabbity types that prefer to remain unseen.

Warriors are the all around fighting character. Wielding nearly any weapon and wearing the heaviest of armors, these extremely versatile characters deal out loads of damage. They make incredibly flexible characters with the ability to tank, deal out damage or even place debuffs on their enemies.

The character customization page offers many options to tailor your character, including many details that most other games lack. The level of detail that you can change will insure that you can define your very own, unique look. The dye system from Guild Wars 1 was implemented as well, allowing you to unlock new colors as you find them.

As you progress further in creating your character, you're eventually asked a series of questions which will dramatically modify the quests that you're given in the beginning. Using this system, it's possible to make two characters of the same race and class, yet have a totally different experience. It's also important to note that if you want to group with friends during the early levels, it'll be necessary to make the same choices -- otherwise, you'll be doing different quests.

After you've finished making your character's life choices, you're given a summary screen that offers a rather cunning way to choose your name. You are asked to sign your chosen name to a document that lists your choices. As soon as you click next, you're whisked into a cinematic and your first quest.

All in all, ArenaNet has made character creation a process that allows you to customize your character and the major questline that you'll be completing. The possibility of replaying the gw2 gold game with a totally new experience is one that will bring this reviewer back to play many times over.

After our Halloween escapades with the Mad King Thorn this October, we will spend the next month in a wet and wild expedition in The Sea of Sorrows. ArenaNet teases us with this short scenario describing The Lost Shores update:

“Something stirs in the Sea of Sorrows… Unravel a mystery of monstrous proportions in The Lost Shores, a massive one-time world event that will change Tyria forever!”

That’s not much to go on with, but we expect ArenaNet to always make good on its promises. So when it says “mystery of monstrous proportions” we’ll be expecting a Loch Ness-type boss that will drown out our screens. The gw2 gold developers also released a trio of teaser screens which showcase the environments that will serve as the backdrop for the November event.

New Server Transfer Restrictions From Nov 1st

Martin Kerstien has just posted on the official forum about server transfers

"Due to community concerns about the effect of free transfers on world versus world, starting on November 1 we are going to change how often players are allowed to transfer worlds. After the update,gw2 gold players will be able to transfer worlds once every 7 days instead of once every 24 hours. We are also actively working on getting the guesting functionality in place. Thank you for your understanding."

People have been doing this you could Transfer and it has been discussed to death on multiple forums.  It isn't anything "difficult" to figure out when you have a PICTURE posted of a "team mate" using ALL the supply to build - get this - RAMS inside a base!  - yeah I wonder if that guild tag he had which is from the opposing server was any sort of....clue.

Get this, developers are normally... you guessed it, developing. Most of them aren't always playing the game first hand. They work long hours, they have a very, very small group of people who moderate the forums and have to prioritize player comments and then spread the news to the development team in scheduled meetings. But of course, you know all about this. Asking them to take care of things the second a problem becomes apparently to gw2 gold players (who mind you, there are millions of, playing every single day) is like asking congress to come up with a proposed plan to cut spending.

But they clearly DON'T have it in place. You clearly do not know what this Questing system is about.

It is the ability to join a friends sever at anytime, to do PvE.
You will still have your own homeserver and will only be able to play WvW on that server.

If they have this in place, why can't we do just that?

Slowly accumulate the displeasure and discomfort of many players on the items found in black lion chests. , As many players to who have already opened several boxes, can be found there anything that has to do with the Halloween event. Well, the developers of AreaNet react to the problem and find a satisfactory solution.

Accordingly, it is recommended to discard any of the articles from the Black Lion chests or sell. As the Community Manager Regina Buenaobra revealed they were working on a solution that will allow gw2 gold players to convert these objects in Halloween items.

The original post by Regina Buenaobra you can read on the official forum of the gw2 gold game. It largely American realms were affected, but also in Germany could easily watch the unusual spectacle.

Meanwhile, Blizzard wants to have closed the security hole for a hotfix already. Serious damage is not apparent. The hackers apparently took advantage of the vulnerability that is only good for a laugh.

World of Warcraft developer Blizzard got away so well with a black eye. It is unclear whether hackers could exploit the vulnerability with malicious intent can be dangerous purposes. Maybe the hackers wanted to do with the spectacular mass deaths in World of Warcraft merely drew attention to the vulnerability.
